Today, the activities of the specialized regional training program were concluded: “Preparing the Sustainable Institutional Development Specialist for NGOs,” Class of 2023In the presence of 38 participants representing Egyptian and Arab NGOs, the training took 10 training days during the month of July 2023 within the activities of the “Support Unit” Sustainable development and climate action" at the Arab Center for Sustainable Civil Action.
The training covered severaltopics, the most important of which were:
What the organization is and determine its basic elements.Distinctive characteristics of a non-governmental organization as a specific form of social organization.The role of civil society organizations in achieving the sustainable development goals of society.The relationship between the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization and its institutional capabilities.The system entrance for analyzing the institutional capabilities of civil society organizations and its components.Stages of growth of NGOs.Knowing the entrances, strategies and stages of institutional development for NGOs.Implementing the digital transformation and institutional sustainability system and familiarity with institutional capacity monitoring systems.The comprehensive quality process, its goals, and the requirements for applying quality within NGOs.Determine the requirements for achieving institutional sustainability for NGOs.Familiarity with the Code of Professional Conduct for Egyptian Associations and Institutions and how to apply it within their NGOs.The concept of leadership, its types and sources of influence.Learn about methods of managing organizational change and the concept of resistance to change and its causes.During the training, the participants reviewed their various development practices and linked them to the topics being raised.
On the last day, the trainees were assigned a final graduation project to be discussed before a specialized arbitration committee as part of the procedures for passing the specialized regional training program
